25th Anniversary of 9/11

25th Anniversary of 9/11

This month marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and we are once again witnessing the memorial services. Rather than just commemorative mourning events, however, I wish the United States would uncover the true masterminds behind how such a massive catastrophe was allowed to happen. There is no history that should be blindly believed simply because governments say so.
In a globally advanced and powerful nation like the United States, American citizens became direct targets, and the country's prestige and core symbols have been under attack ever since. It is truly unfortunate that, to this day, the American people still do not know who the real masterminds behind these events are.
Immediately after the attacks, some media outlets began declaring that Osama bin Laden was the mastermind. In fact, there is a record in the U.S. President's diary from that very night, writing: "Today a Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place... Think it's bin Laden." The government promptly pinned the blame on bin Laden, claiming he was hiding in Afghanistan. The U.S. invaded Afghanistan and spent about a half-decade hunting for him. Yet, bin Laden was not found in Afghanistan. Countless soldiers lost their lives, massive war expenses were incurred, but he was nowhere to be found.
Later, under the pretext that Iraq was conspiring with Osama bin Laden and manufacturing weapons of mass destruction, the U.S. invaded Iraq again. Yet, once more, nothing was found.
However, during the Obama administration, Osama bin Laden was effortlessly eliminated using just two helicopters near a military headquarters in Pakistan.
Looking at how many absurd missteps and contradictions occurred, one should realize that the situation is far from simple.
Look at the present day as well. Even though Iran insists it does not possess nuclear weapons, it is being forcefully attacked through military power. On the other hand, North Korea openly demonstrates that it has nuclear capabilities, publicly declares its ability to strike the U.S., and threatens to do so—yet Trump shakes hands with them.
So, do you guys still believe that Osama bin Laden was the one who carried out 9/11?"

Rest in Peace to the 2,977 American civilians who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, and to the approximately 14,600 U.S. military personnel and civilians who were killed in Afghanistan and Iraq in the wars that followed.
