Regret

Just because you have power doesn't mean you can abuse it without consequence.

It might look like a win in the short term. But in the long run, it's like shooting yourself in the foot. That's what the world is watching right now. And regret only comes at that point.

Look at the dollar. America has been using its currency like a weapon. Sanctions. Pressure. It works for a while.

But other countries are starting to think. If we stay under this weapon, our turn could come one day too. So they're looking for ways to reduce their dependence on the dollar. Trying to protect the dollar by weaponizing it has ended up weakening the dollar itself.

Look at Canada. A good neighbor for many years, now squeezed with tariffs. Talked about casually like it's just another state.

What's the result? Canada has drifted further from America and closer to the EU and China. That's not pushing away an enemy. That's pushing away a friend.

Look at the EU too. America is supposed to be its main ally, but now the EU is reconsidering. Depending too much on America, militarily and in communications, is a risk to its own sovereignty.

What was once trusted as a reliable ally is now viewed with doubt. The EU is trying to stand on its own feet. That doesn't just weaken America, it reduces America's influence as well.

The same backlash hits a big businessman like Elon Musk when he gets into politics. Politically, his business gets challenged. People stop trusting him and start looking for alternatives to his products.

A businessman might think joining forces with political power will make him stronger. In reality, his business itself becomes a political target, and he loses trust along with it. That's shooting yourself in the foot too.

"Make America Great Again" has become nothing more than a popular slogan. In practice, treating even allies like enemies has turned it into "Make America Hate Everyone." And what's left in the end is just "America Alone."

This is no longer a lesson. This is regret.

Regret after the fact means nothing. Realizing who broke your foot only after it's already broken is far too late.
