A Strategic Vision for Myanmar’s Economic Sovereignty
"History remembers that when the British colonized Myanmar, we became subjects on our own soil, remaining close to our lands and families. However, under the current era of Min Aung Hlaing, the people of Myanmar have been reduced to a status even lower than subjects—we have become a displaced labor force, living in constant fear and vulnerability in foreign lands. One only needs to look at the plight of our people in Thailand to see the reality: living in the shadows, suppressed, and stripped of dignity. It is a realization that stings with a sharp, piercing pain.
Driven by this crisis, I have developed a strategic vision: The establishment of Duty-Free Industrial and Trade Zones along the Thai-Myanmar and China-Myanmar borders, situated within Myanmar territory.
The objective is a fundamental shift in trade dynamics: We will no longer go to them; they will come to us. We will invite international firms to relocate their factories onto our soil by offering operating costs that are impossible to match within Thailand or China. To ensure stability, we will procure electricity directly from China and Thailand to power these zones. Furthermore, products manufactured within these zones will be granted preferential tax rates for domestic distribution.
The core mandate of this project is a 70% Local Labor Requirement, ensuring that Myanmar citizens are the primary beneficiaries of these jobs. Within these specialized enclaves, international investors and partners will be granted long-term special visas, supported by a world-class infrastructure of hotels, restaurants, and amenities.
By executing this strategy, we will liberate our people from the cycle of precarious foreign labor. We will replace fear with opportunity, and struggle with the radiant smiles of our brothers and sisters working with dignity on their own land."
